yes, it shows a lot of dead people.
i rented it once with my cousin, of course we both neglected to read the entire box and see what it was all about. we thought it was a horror movie with bad acting, because someone had described it like that. anyway we watched the first 2 minutes and turned it off because it was too gory.

I am going to give you the low down on the FACES OF DEATH series.
part 1 was done in 1978 perfect for the coming Beta/VHS
It was purposely released first in countries that it would get banned in. It really wasn't released just submitted.
It was one of the first controversial VHS releases, but in the early 80's there were not many movies on the shelves
It was narrated by a man named Dr.Gross (an actor who is still alive) who was a pathologist and fascinated with death
so much in fact in part 2 while on a trip for part 3 he died
( actually he is still alive today)
It took news clips and and a few staged deaths but for the most part all you saw was the accident and a body or 2, a few seconds later . It wasn't the accident it was how you think you saw it and what was real and what was not.
It was filmed on 8 mm so the real film was real grainy and hard to make out .the fake stuff was real easy to see
higher quality film that they just filmed fast so you could not see that it was a set up but looked bloody tragic and real.
but 40% was faked and the real was all stock footage
They show worse on the news today and we have become
people who stare at the accident rather than turn away.
Faces of death proves we have lost our shock value
and everyone has a darkside, and will peek out the
window while there is an accident.
They are doing a remake(not sure of details yet)

Yes, I remember watching that film - several times. I was really into macabre stuff in the '80's. And you know what I had no problem watching the suicides, assasinations etc but when it came to te animal slaughters and especially the one with the little monkey in the restaurant - if you've watched Faces of Death you'll know what I'm talking about - GROSS! But as I've got older, and watching stuff like that again, it really does make you feel abit queasy. There are some clips on www.liveleak.com that I can't handle! I am a total lightweight now! maybe some of the clips are set up but to be quite truthful it didn't look that way to me. As someone mentioned before they are actual news clips that obviously don't make it on national news for obvious reasons!!

If you're talking about 'snuff films' (where a person is killed specifically for the purpose of the film), despite being talked about a lot in the media, there has never been a *proven* snuff film.
On the other hand, there is a lot of media which shows documentary/news footage with people really being killed.

definite, i've got seen it. The movie tries to puzzle the viewer by utilising asking numerous questions - Is he an alien or no longer? ought to people have self assurance persons in basic terms because of the fact the latter are achievable/vulnerable? Can psychological trauma produce sustainable fantasies like this? in the top i got here across such questions boring and the entire movie grow to be very tedious, as though it grow to be made up as they went alongside. He had a psychological breakdown and the alien delusion helped hide his harm. end. i did no longer get the different messages from the adventure.

FACES OF DEATH is a compilation of real life events from movies, tv shows, new reels, and other media related events where people died or killed in a terribly graphic manner. You need to realize that FACES OF DEATH came out way before the internet and you could just go to rotten.com for disguisting real events caught on film.

Although several of the "human death" scenes are obviously faked, some of the footage is genuine. Famous scenes of death from the media are included, such as stock footage of a napalm bombing in Vietnam, various newsreel footage, and wartime footage of Hitler. Also featured are the actual on-camera deaths of a variety of animals, including seals being clubbed to death and animals being killed on the slaughterhouse line.
here is a link you can read all about it

It's not a film, it's a collection of video clips. There are something like 5 or 6 different collections. There are also TRACES OF DEATH, which is pretty much the same thing.
They show the clips of real suicides, accidents, tortures (human and animal), severe beatings, someone losing a limb... it's all true to life.
I am a great fan of macabre, but let me tell you, that video (and I only saw one) made me lose sleep for days.

Faces of Death is mostly photos about people AFTER they died. Pretty gruesome. The films where people were actually killed are called snuff films.

yeah, i heard faces of death and traces of death were faked, well some of the footage, when i watched them, some of the murder scenes had like two or three cameras at different angles like a movie or whatnot. but, there used to be a site called ogrish.com it's something else now but i'm sure you can still find some sick vids or there, it just takes you to a different destination of streaming video.
