Yes, but Id wonder if they had asked eg, 50 people for £1 and therfore never pay their own bills. The person concerned is probably loaded whilst the likes of me who'd give the £1 are struggling top pay our own bills but would not have the nerve to ask a stranger

Yes and have done so many times in the past. Not always a £1, sometimes only a few pence that someone is short, or are struggling to find. Most people would try to decline the offer due to a sense of pride / embarrassment, but a smile always helps and adding that your hoping that by giving, the favour may be returned one day when you find yourself in the same position.

Yes, why not. Sometimes I throw in an extra £1 coin at Dartford Crossing the help the stranger driving behind me.

A part of me would love to say yes but in reality if someone asked me I would probably think it was some form of con and think that they were better off than me in the first place!!! I have helped people out when they realise they don't have enough to pay for their shopping before but that was my decision and I was not asked so it doesn't really answer the question! lol

If they're a stranger, how do I know they're not just going to use the money for drugs or alcohol? They could be lying. Plus I'm a student, so can't afford it!

I have often given a bit of change to people at tills who are a bit short. Don't know if i would give it to some one to help pay off debts they have racked up. What goes around comes around.

IF, taking £1 out of your pocket wouldn't hurt.
IF, donating that £1 wouldn't change your lifestyle.

&

IF, just by spending £1, you are able to put a smile on someone's face.
IF, £1 is all you need to put someone's troubles & worries away.

Then, i believe, that £1 would be one of the best kind of money spent in a person's life.

Absolutely not.... Bills are chosen.... IF they choose to have bills then they need to choose to get another job or perhaps 4 jobs to pay for them.

Nothing gained if you have everything handed to you.
