can i summon "ancient gear golem" by "ancient rules"?

No. The text on Ancient Rules says "Special Summon 1 Level 5 or higher Normal Monster from your hand.". Ancient Gear Golem is an Effect Monster.

Sorry, Ancient Rules only applies to NORMAL monsters. IT should work though, after all, they're both "ANCIENT"
