blind sampling means that a group is not pre-determined for taking samples. Random is close, but even more than random, you keep yourself from even knowing exactly what you are sampling.

a) Same as Random Sampling I think. Not taken in any predetermined or logical sequence. Ad-hoc.

b) Checking the quality of "blinds" at the factory by testing one every so often.

c) Like when your friends blindfold you and tell you to drink something and tell them what it is.

d) Shempling tha spirrets when you already had way too many and youre "blind" drunk.

I experimentation we use a method called Double-Blind.
This is when those participating do not know if they are the control group or the experimental group. Those administering the variable are also oblivious to the fact of which is placebo and what is really the experimental item.
This type of experimentation is done to limit bias treatment and prevent predispositions from corrupting the date collected.
