This is what I do . . .

I god this for Christmas from my hubby and well it's a good Idea!

Cover Girl's Perfect Point Plus. it's like a pencil but without the wood and the constant sharpening! you can have it in all sorts of colors!

What I do with this product is slightly pull at my eye lid and make the surface above my eye lashes smooth and then I dont go for the strait line right away a start a short line and keep going from there! but dont go too ar off of your eyelid because you could over do it with too much drama or well it's just weird looking! then you should have a great line on top of your eye lashes!

I hope that this tip here also helps you! Good luck

I don't use the kind that you sharpen like a pencil. I use I think Maybilene (or however you spell it) You can put it on the inside top eye lid, I do this by puttin it in the corner of my eye by my nose and 1/2 closing my eye then taking my liner to the other side, or you can put it on the top of your lid, Close the eye you are doing, I streatch it to make it long and flat after it's closed then do a really thin line right up against my eye lashes, liquid works good for this way too. I don't like the look on the top of your eye, it makes them look really small.

I use the Loreal liquid eyeliner too but over a liner pencil that I apply in dashes at the root of my lashes upper and lower.

I only use the liquid on the upper for definition and I don't use it all of the time.

I have found that when using a pencil if you apply in dashes you get a more uniform line. Make certain that the pencil is sharpened.

Oh, When I use both liners, I use the pencil before I apply eye shadow and then finish with the liquid. If I am only wearing the pencil, I use it over shadow.

Practice, practice, practice. And practice with and on your friends.

liquid eyeliner is the best for me...
it takes some getting used to but a little practice and you'll have it down in no time...
liquid liner makes a crisp defined line...
also, you don't tug on your eye skin as much...which is good when you get older...
l'oreal liquid eyeliner/black...
