Jordin actually left chills down my back. Normally, that doesn't happen from ANY singer, but there was just something about that performance last night. She has been consistently performing different types of music, and has been GOOD at everything I have heard her sing. I wish they would quit stressing that she is 17 on the show. I believe it has a negative impact on the way the people voting see her, and she, in my opinion, is the most talented person in the season.
I think Lakisha and Melinda get too much positive press and boosting from Simon. Though Melinda Doolittle is good, she seems stuck, like Lakisha, in a single genre of music. I realize they have certain arenas they have to perform in, like this week was "british invasion week", but even when there are no set arenas they have to perform in, they both always stick with the 60's motown ladies' music. In other words, there's no diversity. They can't seem to really do anything else well.
Sanjaya stinks and needs to go. He is only in the group because Howard Stern has been pushing him to his listenership that they should vote for Sanjaya (who Stern admits stinks), in hopes that the public will "see exactly how stupid this show really is".
I also think that no matter where Gina Glockson sits in the rankings, if she doesn't make it to finals, she will get a contract somewhere or a band lead offer, shortly after getting cut. I for one, am curious about what she will put out after this competition, and if she will be this year's Chris Daughtry (cut early, but very talented for the Rock scene). I will probably buy her first CD just to find out.
Last but not least, Blake and Phil are the two most talented guys in the show. I think that Blake has what it takes, and though I don't see him winning the competition amidst the talent in the girl's group, I think he also will get a contract somewhere after he gets cut.
Well, you wanted opinions... here's mine...

I think Sanjaya had a good performance last night, which is sad because it may keep him on the show for another week. I wouldn't mind seeing this kid leave. I don't know how he made it this far.
I'm not sure what all the hype is about for Blake. I think he will play out within the next 4 to 5 weeks.
I find Chris R. very boring... Jordin impressed me... everyone else is just okay to me except Lakisha and Melinda. Those two are out of this world.

I thought Haley did an outstanding job redeeming her bad performance last week. She looked so hot I thought about becoming a lesbian. Melinda Doolittle can do NO wrong; that woman can sing! Of the guys...Sanjaya should go home...his performance was - as Simon would say - high school talent show level. Blake was ok, Chris R was ok...none of the guys are really doing it for me. Maybe because that little weasel Sanjaya beat out the only TRUE man..SUNDANCE (what a woofy beargod! and he didn't sing badly either!)

Amen on Sanjaya - time for sayinara! I think that Blake and Melinda will be the last two standing with Lakisha the dark horse. The girls seem to have what it takes this time around but Blake can sing along with his bebop... Phil probably has the most talent vocally among the guys but has not shown the charisma it takes to win.

i do no longer think of all of them sucked. Chris & Blake have been the terrific from the adult men. Melinda & Lakeisha have been the terrific of the girls. i did no longer love final evening's topic or the actuality that J.Lo grow to be giving out suggestion on a thank you to speak spanish or sing - fantastically on condition that she's no longer an expert on the two. The songs that have been chosen weren't perfect however the subject grow to be restricting.

I think you just named the best four. If you're talking about Chris Richardson, not Sligh. Him, Blake, Melinda, Jordan... top four, right there.

I agree with those folks posting about sanjaya. And that girl they kept showing crying all the time; she needs to be medicated! But in her defense, I was crying while Sanjaya was singing as well, but not because I LIKED it!!!

Sanjaya has got to go. I'd rather see William Hung in the competition.

Agree with you on the guys and the girls. Not sure who's going home, but I'm sure the person who should be going home will not.
