I just saw it on the horror channel there about a week ago, it was a 1970's film. Oh it was great, really graphic. I wonder if it's possible to buy a film like that now. Because i think it was actually banned in alot of countries!!

Yeah I've seen it. It is pretty graphic and definitely had an influence on how films like Blair Witch was made.
You can buy it now in the UK along with the sequel Cannibal Apocalypse as most of the 1970s/80s 'video nasties' are now available, often pretty heavily cut though.

It was made in 1980 by ruggero deodata who had made cannibal in 1977, this film featuring me me lai was cut from 92 mins to 87 in uk, in the us it was called jungle holocaust. in 1980 he also made the house on the edge of the park, which was banned in the uk until 2002 when a version cut from 91 mins to 79 was released. in 1985 he made straight to hell which was also cut. in 1987 he made the 11th commandment which starred the legendary Mimsy Farmer and a brief cameo by charles napier the star of many Russ Meyer films, this was cut by 5 mins in uk. other films in this genre include Cannibal Ferox directed by umberto lenzi in 1981 , banned in the uk until 2000 when a version cut from 93 mins to 86 was released. The classic is Cannibal Apocalypse made in 1980 by Antonio Marghetti and starring John Saxon, this was banned until 2005.

sure=it is not as frightening as you're imagining it to be, that is greater on the disgusting element, with quite a number of bloody scenes, even though it lacks that eeriness and spooky element that horror video clips require if u prefer a real-bloody action picture, then watch BORDERLAND=that is a few sick stuff, because of the fact that is definitely consistent with genuine activities EDIT: that is extremely no longer the main disgusting action picture ever, and that is definitely not greater bloody than HOSTEL, so those ppl that pronounced that it became, don't comprehend what they're saying i've got watched this action picture two times, and this sh*t ain't that frightening

I've been dying to see it, but blockbuster online doesn't have it, I do have I Spit On Your Grave in my queue, so hopefully thats good, as well as Cannibal Ferox.

and to the person above, its not about the holocaust

Yes, you can buy it.
It actually has a sequel.
The King of those "banned" movies would be a film called:
Salo
