Well I would be scared if something that had no face followed me every time the sun came out!! No, but in a logical sense, Americans are afraid of their own Shadows because they care what people think of them, and are not willing to explore their Alter Ego (If they have one at all).

Well I can't speak for all Americans but my shadow carries a gun and runs like the wind. It is also very sneaky and smells bad. Wouldn't you be scared of a shadow like that?
