I have needed to do this before to fit a complex table into a document. The following procedure is for Word 2003, but other versions should be about the same:
First, use your mouse to highlight the text or table that you want to reformat. Then use the following menu commands:
File
-Page Setup
-Landscape (click the box under "Orientation" on the Margins Tab)
-Apply to (Pull down menu under the Preview section of the same Margins Tab)
-selected text
In some cases the "Apply to" menu might only give you the options "whole document" or "this point forward". If that happens, choose "this point forward", go to the next page of your document and repeat this procedure, switching the page setup back to Portrait "this point forward". If the table is still too large, you can also use the same Margins tab to decrease the margin size for that specific page.
I hope that this helps!

When you go to Print, you can select the page and set the properties to print in landscape. Then you can print the rest of the report in Portrait. Select the page numbers before the landscape page, print and the select the page numbers after the landscape page. Bit of a messing about, but at least it should work.

Highlight only the page you want to change; open Page Setup (in dropdown File menu); on margin tab change to desired margin; make sure that the Preview Applies To: Selected Section. If this doesn't allow you enough room to print the page, leave the margin the same, but change the Orientation (on same Page Setup) to landscape for the Selected Section.

Not sure you can only put One page landscape and the others portrait.

Both ChemLab and eajbuffa are right; eajbuffa's technique, however, is a shortcut to what really has to happen: you must have section breaks. You can either do it yourself (my preference), or use the shortcut. Either way, it (multiple orientations in the same document) can and is often done.
Don't fool around with the other workarounds.
Aside: people who say something cannot be done ought to make sure it cannot be done before committing themselves.

you have to insert a next page section break. then you can go to page setup and change to landscape. to change back on the next page you have to insert another next page section break.
