Kids don't go on the child protection register because you argued with your mum... There must have been something to make social services think the child was at risk of harm. if you now get on so well with your mum why move, she would also count as family by the way. I doubt that social services got involved in you arguing with your mum if she did not live near by. Try speaking to social service for the area you want to move to, they may take on the case. Best to tell them the truth though 'cause they will check...

You need to work with your social worker on this matter. You can also ask to meet with his/her practice manager. As a civil servant your social worker will provide you with documentation and other information detailing your 'rights'. When it comes to Child Protection, the best way to get what you want is to co-operate. But bear in mind, it's not about what's best for you. It's about what is best for your child.

I would ask for advice from either the Citizens Advice people or go to one of those free half hour consultations with a high street solicitor that you will find plenty of in Yellow Pages, both are really helpful and will listen to your cause, good luck and hope things work out for you.

Hi i believe that if you inform them of your new address and get in touch with the local social workers in that new area before you move then they cant really stop you.A word off caution make sure you can manage on your own before leavin your mum.Good luck and take care.
