Hi- Congrats to you on charting, it will be a big help! Your BBT will be lower before you ovulate, then you'll see a big increase (.2 or more) the day AFTER you ovulate. The temps then usually stay at or near this higher level of temps, called the luteal phase. If you are pregnant, they'll most likely stay up there (you may see a couple of dips but we're looking at the overall trend here) and when the temps in the luteal phase start to drop, it is usually a sign that your period is coming. a falling temperature indicates that your period is on it's way. however sometimes there is a dip during your luteal phase (after ovulation until your period starts is called the luteal phase) the dip is called an implantation dip, but would only last a day or two, usually wouldn't go below coverline and would come back up.

I had a dip in my temperature the day of ovulation.

the highest temp was when you ovulated, so it will drop off after that then you will start your period.
