15 litres of what ?

If it is water, 1 litre = 1 kilogram, so 15 litres would be 15 kg

Other substances are more or less dense i.e.15kg of oil would be less than 15kg

It comes from Density = Mass / Volume.

15 liters of water is 15 kilograms.
15 liters of mercury is 195 kilograms

It depends on 15 liters of WHAT? 15 liters is the volume, to find its mass in Kg, you need to know the density of the substance.

mass=volume x density

for pure water, mass=15 lit x 1 g/cm^3 = 15 Kg. the mass would be more for sea water and less for petrol since the densities are different.

You can't do that conversion. Liters is a measure of volume - kilograms is mass. You woull have to know what substance you were working with and its density.

Can not help if we do not know what you are weighing. Liters is a volume measurement and kilograms is a weight. Is there any weight or density units available to help?

It depends upon the density of the liquid you are measuring. in the case of pure water,it is 15 kilograms

It depends on what item you have 15 liters of. 15 liters of air weighs less than 15 liters of water. Depends on the density of the material.

To convert a volume to a mass you need to multiply the substance in question by its density. Not knowing the substance in question I cannot convert this volume to a mass.

If it is air, which has a density of 1.2kg/m^3, then its mass is 15*1.2/1000= 0.018kg.

if it is water, which has a density of 1000 kg/m^3, then its mass is 1000 *15/100 = 15kg

It is possible. The liter can be a unit for measuring gas volume, cannot be? you dissolve a volume of gas into a liquid and the dissolved quantity of gas depends on temperature, pressure and nature of the liquid,
In some conditions you can dissolve 15 liters (in standard condition) of a gas in one liter of a liquid as in beverages.
