my ring says 14k on the inside, my mom got it for me for my 13 b.day. now im 14. it has another thing on the inside it looks like a dimond... i say its real but this kid next to me says no...
prove to him it is.

yes i know it cuts glass but the dimond is in the white gold.

Hey sis - take it to a jeweler at the mall. Have them look it over. A cursory look will them if it is real - a full appraisal may take longer or cost you something. I know you can't ask your mom how much it costs (can you?)
Then go get a pretzel and mocha frappachino - go to the video game place and blow 10 bucks on tokens.

Ask your mother. Since she is the one that bought it she should be able to tell you. The 14k isn't the diamond, it is the gold. So the diamond may not be real, it could be a cubic zirconia. But to make sure just ask your mother if the diamond is real. You shouldn't care what the kid next to you is saying, tell him that you love your ring regardless!

You would have to bring the ring to a jeweler and have them look at it thru one of their diamond scopes..... Unless you know someone who has a professional eye for these type of things..... if it look like glass.... it probably is not a real diamond.

14k probably means that the metal holding the gem is 14k, not the diamond itself. and real diamonds cut glass.

A jeweler is the only one, that can tell you that. It could be a man made diamond w/ a 14k band.....

14K means the weight of the gold. You can take it to a jewelry store and they can appraise it for you.
