It's a television show that is getting lower in ratings with each passing year. That adds a little spice to it and maybe a few more people will watch it next week to find out who this Sonjaya character is. She was staged.

Geez, I've never seen a question get so many bogus answers. People .. the asker was looking for some real answers.
I have not been able to verify it, but have heard that she was Carrie Underwood's younger sister. And she was just kind of star struck by being there in the 'big city' and seeing the performance.

I would have cried in the same way if I was that close to George Clooney...she thinks Sanjaya is a celebrity...have to feel really sorry for her.

She was happy to see the performer's perform. As you probably saw...she got to go up at the end of hug each one on the stage. Maybe she was also afraid that some of them wouldn't be back next time.....

personally i think it was a scam...i bet sanjiyahs family had the little girl do that on purpose to get more votes for him because he is such a horrible singer. either that or the girl is going through one of those teenager obsession stages and really likes him

it was tears of joy. she was able to see the idol contestants
in person. she was even able to come up the stage and give a big hug of all of them. lucky girl.

For some reason she likes Sanjaya, I was really hoping he would do better this week because he really sounded good at the auditions.

I'm not sure...I didn't watch it and haven't since the the season of Kelly. I can't believe that show is still on. I guess the kids like it.
