The answer depends on the year of your car and the type of transmission. at 90k the civic is due for the 'major service' For models up to 2000, that includes spark plugs, valve adjustment, filters, oil and filter change, transmission fluid change and general inspections. Honda dealers typically package the service for about $350. They are not the cheapest, but they are generally the best and use the best quality parts. If you care about your car, don't try to save $50 going to someone who doesn't work on the cars all the time. On the pre-2001 models the valve adjustment is critical to the performance of the car.
for 2001 and up, the spark plugs are not changed until later (105k or 110k depending on year) and the valves don't need to be adjusted until the time when the spark plugs are changed. The service on the 2001 and up Civic is usually about $250 at a Honda dealer
hope that helps,

Usually the scheduled check ups cost between $300 - $600 dollars, you really may want to think about taking your owners manual and finding out what needs to be done and having another mechanic do the work, the dealer is really going to stick it to you, it could save ALOT most all towns have a mechanic that is specifically for hondas or at least Japanese cars just check into it find out from the dealer all that's being done and get the price (over the phone) and then call the other mechanic and get his price maybe call three or four it really doesn't take all that long, if you take the time to get the list and know the make model year and engine of your car it will be a quick process and save a ton of money almost NEVER is the dealer cheaper on repairs of any kind.

300-600 bucks it just depends because you can add or minus what you want if your budget is tight.
