I had a cantainer of Tide on the washing machine. During the spin cycle it droped off. The cap came off and now I have laundry detergant all over my laundry room. I put towels down to soak most of it up. But how do I get it up off the floor without it bubbling up and taking several attemps to clean it up.

Now this may sound a little silly but read it anyway, it will make sense.
When you get too much soap in the washer you add fabric softener to cut the suds. So adding it to the mop water may help. It will make your laundry room smell great too.
The other idea is to use vinegar it will also cut the soap, it would probably be the cheaper way to go but it will make your laundry room smell like a pickle factory!!
Good Luck

I'm not sure there really is a way to get all the detergent up with just one scrubbing. But you could use a bucket of water and lots of cleaning rags. Rinse frequently, and change the water often when it starts getting too soapy.

And yes, a place to store yoru cleaning stuff is a good investment.

Good luck!

Try vinegar in the bucket of water as you mop or clean up. It may help.
