Who gets the best deal Chris Carpenter and Matthews Jr. for Sizemore and Buehrle

Whoever gets Sizemore and Buehrle gets the better deal. Matthews Jr will have to stop juicing and come back to earth and hit .265 with 15 HR's. Carpenter is getting old, but will still be better than Buehrle but the upgrade from Matthews Jr to Sizemore more than makes up any difference in Carpenter and Buerhle.

Of course it all depends on your team and what you need. If you need pitching then the team getting Carpenter gets the better deal. If the pitching is solid despite Carpenter, then the team getting Sizemore gets the better deal.

I like Sizemore more, even though he's having a tough spring. He's a lock for 25/25 and he might even do 30/30. Batting leadoff in that lineup gives him another 100 runs. Chris Car is a stud, no doubt. He's getting old and starting to show signs of vulnerability. He'll k at least 170, but he'll get fewer run support and his bullpen might not hold a lot of his leads. Matthews and Buehrle are inconsequential, but I have to choose, probably Matthews.

That depends how much your league awards for hitting. Sizemore is a much more potent offensive threat than Matthews Jr., who is also probably distracted by the steroid scandal he is involved in. However, Carpenter is a much better pitcher than Buerhle, so whichever your league emphasizes more got the better deal. I like the second team better though.

looks even to me, depends on what you need. Matrhews Jr and Buerhle are both waiver wire material so it comes down to Sizemore vs Carpenter who are similar in value.
