Are there any places like lowes, home depot, target or walmart that sell them? I have looked at home depot and they are not with the normal mouse traps but maybe they keep them at a different spot. We have had them in the kitchen for a while and last night I saw one in my bedroom and would like them out of the house but don't want to kill them.

I know I will have to keep catching them but I'm going to release them far enough from my house that hopefully they will go into one of the many other houses around here. And I would rather do that then keep spending $5 on the other traps we used just to catch 2 mice, that starts adding up eventually.

I have a cat and a dog, they don't kill them but they do sometimes play with them and let them go some place else in the house. Me not wanting to kill them has nothing to do with feeling bad for them, I don't want to have to clean them up if I use a trap that can be messy, I have other pets that can get hurt with them and most of those traps are 1 use only (besides the spring ones that I can't use because of my other pets) and I really don't want to spend all that money to remove a few mice.

You could try the wild animal section of walmart. I'm sure home depot has them. Remember that you will endlessly have to catch them and let them go. They'll just come back in.
You could try this: http://www.bestnest.com/bestnest/pc_mice_rats.asp?src=googleaws&kw=live_mouse_traps

Lowes and Home Depot sell them. I don't know what you think about having a cat, but a cat in the house would catch a few and run the others off. Mice won't live in a place with a cat. Female cats are just like the lionesses of Africa. They do the hunting and make the best mousers. Don't worry about mouse death, they are no where near extinction and will likely outlive the human race! They are vermin that carry many diseases. I wouldn't feel badly killing them, and I love animals as much as anyone.

I used glue boards. They are humane, as long as you get the mouse off of it, before it starves to death. I can't have poison or spring traps, because we have pets. So we invested in glue boards, caught the mouse the first night we used it. It explains on the package, how to use it humanely. Always wear gloves when handling rodents. We put a little vegetable oil on the mouse, and he came right off the glue board, into a bucket, and then we released him in a field FAR AWAY from our house. He hasn't been back. Good Luck.

I got mine at Walmart, beside the kill type. They are little plastic boxes with a swing door. The mouse pushes on the door to get the treat inside, the door closes, and he can't back out cause the door is a bit to large to swing in the other direction. I release mine atleast a mile away from my house, towards the woods.

I have read and heard about this ultra high frequency unit that you can plug into an outlet that will not bother cats or dogs but will drive mice and bugs out of your house. I am not sure how well the work or if the work at all or not.

If you plan to catch and release mice, you might as well not bother catching them in the first place. If you release the mice anywhere near your house, they will simply find their way back into it. If you plan to release them where they will find their way into a neighbor's house, that is simply evil. There is no shortage of mice, and they carry disease, destroy stuff, and poop on your dinner dishes.
Just get the lethal traps and be done with it!

Try a hardware store. they often have havaheart traps. make sure to get the correct size for the animal you're trying to trap. i tried setting traps for while and getting nothing while the trap was activated. i was sure it was rats but when i put out my smaller trap, sure enough it was mice and they can escape from the holes in a rat trap.

ask someone where they are. most place won't put them with the other traps because they are humane traps and they don't kill the animals. if you can't find one of them use a plastic tub that is deep enough that they can't jump out. put something soft i nthere to land on and put a ramp up so that they can climb in.

Ma'am, I hope your neighbors are not reading this....I'm not
believing what I read...you hope they go into someone
else's house? My suggestion is that you share your fear
of killing the mice with your neighbors. I'm sure they would
gladly come over and remove the dead mice from your
mousetraps...as opposed to dealing with them when you
send them next door....alive.
