If you think it's OK or good, just flip this situation around. How would you feel if a Democrat president agreed to send his staff to the Hill to answer questions of a Republican-led Congress - but not allow them to be required to swear to tell the truth. Does this really feel OK to you? Honestly?

The fact is, the situation was reversed, and Clinton's advisers did appear under oath to answer questions.

Bush has wrapped his administration in a cloak of secrecy far thicker than ANY president previously, Democrat or Republican. I commend both sides of the house for wanting to get under that cloak and find out what has been going on.

The fact is, the Republicans should have exercised this oversight in the last congress; but I'm heartened to see a growing number of Republicans siding with the Democrats in taking this stand now. It is not (and never should have been) a party issue; the job of congress is oversight, and it should be done impartially.

What he's petrified of is that his total administration would be retaining conferences in a federal penal complex, Bush has many stuff to hide, he's the main corrupt and criminal president that I extremely have seen in my sixty one years and undergo in concepts that takes in Nixon. He makes Nixon look like a choir boy.

For a party that likes to sell itself to the public as upholders of morality tradition and Christianity, you would think they wouldn't have such an irrational fear of the bible.

Yeah Carolinatinpan, what a shame. The GOP is so idealistic and would never attack a president with frivolous BullSh*t that had nothing to do with his ability to run the country.
