Anyway, I know this topic probably comes up a little too often, but I have been (sort of) looking for decent guys to meet over the past year...mainly bc I'd like to start a relationship...I think I'm in the right place with my life. Anyway, I've been pretty much unsuccessful...the guys I've met have either been completely incompatible personality wise or flat out perverted or only interested in sex (bc they had some sort of disgusting Asian fetish). It seems almost impossible to find a decent guy...no one seems interested in dating an Asian guy. Even on the personals sites, almost no guys ever put down Asian as a racial preference...even other Asians. It's always white or latino. I feel awful for feeling so jaded, but I can't help but feel like all the stereotypes I've heard about the gay community are so true. I know they're not completely true...but I'm frustrated nonetheless. I don't know what to do.

Oh man. Don't feel down. There are plenty of men out there looking for a mate. They don't care about what the race is. They just care about the person behind the eyes. Be proud to be Asian. Hell I wish I was. I'm French. Think you got it bad. lol. But anyways don't give up. There is love out there for you. And no your not jaded. Don't get that stuck in your head. And its hard to find other men who like men to date in some places. You just have to expand your horizons. Not necessarily go to a gay bar but just be more outgoing and try to stay out of the Internet dating scene. There are guys on line that are cool but there are a shitload of guys who are married or just want sex or maybe even other sick things you could not even imagine. Well I did meet my man online but its okay if you call me a hypocrite. I've had guys ask me on the internet to meet and change their diapers. Now that's messed. So don't give up. Remember my words.

I am white and my partner of 7 years is Asian and he is awesome. He was the first Asian guy I'd met that I was really interested in, I dunno why I wasn't interested in Asian guys before. The strange thing is that now we live in China nd there are hot Asian guys everywhere.
I do know to some extent how you feel about being a fetish. Strangely it took me to come to China to realize this, everyone sees a white guy and half the straight guys I know would cop a feel if they could. I teach kids and am always watched in the bathroom, well, I am always watched in whatever bathroom I am in and the lockerroom at the gym is one big peep show with me as the centerfold. It's annoying, and I feel for you as being the target of a sad fetish.
Chin up though, they say there is someone out there for everyone, and I found that to be true for me. For me I found an incredible Asian guy who is awesome. Good luck.

Don't let it break your spirit man - easier said than done, I know because I've encountered more than enough racist ignorant assholes in the lgbt community to make me feel jaded too!
But on the other hand, speaking from experience, I have seen some gay Asian men who are coupled with both Asian/Non-Asian guys alike and are very happy in their relationships. So don't give up coz that happy couple I see could just as easily be you with someone else someday!

To my asian friend of color...I give you a *hug*. Sometimes being in the life makes many of us weary and tired. However, you pick yourself up from your gay blues and go out into the world. Instead of looking for destiny, let destiny come to you. Sometimes, I think we as gay men put up so many restrictions and prerequisites that the man of our dreams slips through our fingers and its too late. I have been where you are and it gets kind of lonely, but fill your daily life up with activities within the gay scene like clubs and organizations and volunteering...you never know...you might meet the man of your dreams :)

I feel the same way guys see oo a cute black guy i bet he has something fat in his pants then when they see a little 5.5 incher 5 inches aroung there like OOOOO ... so i know how you feel you feel as if your getting used yeah but you will find a guy dont worry go to the gay clubs someone will talk to you my friend eric is one of the best looking dudes ive ever seen and hes Thai and has no problem getting guys youll find your way dnt worry !!!.

Believe me it is worth having an asian lover, they know what to do they are the best, I know because my love for ten years is asian, he is the greatest man I've ever been with, he has class and know what to do in bed.
