If the age of consent is 16 then yes. However I would make damn sure before I did that this is the law of the state..

Hmmm. If this is in another country, Americans are bound by the US laws no matter where they are, so if it is illegal to 'do it' in the US, it is illegal there. I think 16 and 23 is quite an age difference. They should wait a couple years. Plus, is it the male that is 16, the femalee, or are they both males? Unless it is an older male/younger femal combo, I would say stay away for sure. Anything else would look even worse.

Also in response to Donnie above, most states in the US age of consent is 16, some younger. My wife and I have a similar age difference. Men mature slower than women.

Legally - they are in a position to. yet, properly, I doubt a 23 12 months old wont make a pass in the subsequent 2 years. I thoroughly understand your nieces, nevertheless. The age difference is fairly severe, and properly, there is not any longer lots a 23 12 months old can discover in a sixteen 12 months old (the two existence-adventure and interest-sensible), so that's something you could save an eye fixed on.

It would depend on the state in which you live in.

Some states have the age of consent at 16, 17, or 18....(meaning someone over the age of 18 can date and have sexual relations with someone at 16, 17 or 18).

However, sex is a big step...and a responsible one, especially at your age.

If the guy really loves you, he'll wait; however, if you feel your ready...as aforementioned, be responsible.

I find it strange that the legal age for concent is 16 and you cant date anyone over 18 till you are 18.. it's kinda messed in away cause you should beable to date who ever you want.

I don't think it matters what state you are in. You are not an adult until you'[re 18 and can not give consent to an adult to have sex. I think even dating would be dangerous for him in the current climate. Wait until you're 18. I know it's hard when you think you're in love but now is a good time to date lots of different types of guys to find out what you like.

If one of my guys, age 23, was "dating" a 16 year old I'd put him on report and get Navy JAG involved.
