Would we put out the cigarettes?
Would we drive more carefully?
Would we live in a disaster free area?
Would there be less lawyers?
Just curious as to how we survived and or survive without but now can't seem to get passed it.

I think it would-but accidents do happen---but maybe a little competition would be good between doctors,hospitals and the cost to get treated would be more reasonable and people would stop going for a simple headache and suing would drop (I think)

Your line of thinking assumes that the average person gives precedent thought to their well being in all aspects of daily life.
A better question would be: How would society differ if we lived in constant fear or worry?

They never have been in the past. Most people just assume things will never happen to them.
