The question as to whether India will win the world cup will have any relevance only if India manages to enter into Super 8. Hence India's first goal will be to defeat Sri Lanka and enter Super 8. If they manage to enter the Super 8, they can win the world cup if they play to their potential consistently with lot of application, dedication, determination and fighting spirit.

Hey if it was in my hand then definitely India would have won the World Cup but Indian team sunk all our hopes when they lost against Bangladesh but with their historical win against Bermuda they gave us a ray of hope .
But this is a very critical situation to judge anything about India winning the World Cup.

The World Cup Cricket 2007 has started without a clear favourite to win the cup. Thanks to the recent debacle of Australia. Which two teams will reach the final ?. Any team which reaches the semi final has a chance to win the cup. Cricket is a game of glorious uncertainties, which is the beauty of the game. My choice for the world cup semi finals are Australia, New zealand, West indies and India.

i am INDIAN and i say NO...
since India just won one world cup in its history of playing cricket lost to Bangladesh and may lose against Sri Lanka, they may not even reach the super 8!!
