Since when. Where is that written down. Maybe 200 years ago when women were just child bearing objects but not in this day and age. Why do you think this is still true today.

Because a good woman knows that a child needs a good man who is a good role model around for a child to grow up properly. To do this, marriage and children need to be attained on the men's terms generally speaking so that both the man and woman are comfortable with the situation and ready to deal with it. If you go poking holes in condoms and getting pregnant on purpose it can cause MANY problems that he may not want to deal with. Perhaps it would ruin his career and the child would grow up poor? Perhaps your marriage doesn't work because he got married prematurely and leaves you to explore possiblities. Remember this, what a guy is attracted to is a woman that is reliable, consistant, trustworthy and allows him freedom. Do that, and you'll have yourself a great man in no time if you don't already have one right now.

I would say a smart woman would wait. For one if she wants to keep the man and not run him off and raise a child by herself. She will not force anything on him that he is not ready for. If she decides to anyway she only made it hard for herself. It is a proven fact that a child does not make a man want you nor does it make a man stay with you. Not only that a child deserves the love of both parents. So that's something both should be willing to wait on the other for. Same with a woman if the man is ready. He has to wait for her too.

Because traditionally, there need to be two people to get married, and it's also up to the man to decide if he wants to have children. Both parties should be on the same page.

There is no "Have to" in marriage. Women are usually ready to settle down and have family but men are different. They need to be stable financially in order to support a family. I guess this is why most of the times men ask women for hand in marriage.

Well I certainly want my husband to be excited about the idea of having children. That way he will be more inclined to actually help me raise them. The alternative is that I "accidentally" forget to have a few birth control pills, pop out a child, and then he resents both me and the kid. Um, nope, not an option here.

In a "loving" relationship it's a two person decision... made with concern and caring for each other... If you are in a relationship with some egotistic yahoo who demands control and demands to be the ultimate decision maker... well you only have yourself to blame for that situation... in the long run, those types of relationships never seem to work or last...

Ummmm, cause it normally takes two. A woman can propose if she wants to (I wouldn't but equal rights). The man still has to decide that he is ready.
On the children issue, it would be wrong to force someone into being a parent who isn't ready. The child would suffer for your own selfish desire.

they don't have to wait, they can ask someone to marry them and they can have children without being married. I personally wouldn't, but there is no law that says they can't

Where is that law written? I know women who took the initiative. Maybe you're just feeling oppressed.
