What sells like great at a craft fair?

I'm thinking of doing craft fairs next fall to earn some extra cash... what sells really good? And, how much do you charge?

Wood crafts always sell very well, like signs with witty sayings, etc. However, the problem with this is you have to have real talent to pull it off. People aren't going to spend money on something they can make themselves.

You're kind of going about it backwards, because normally you would do crafts for a hobby and then realize that there is one (or a few) that you want to do over and over, or that your family and friends keep asking you to make for them. That's the one you would take to a craft show.

The last time I visited a craft show, the top sellers were the funny dolls that stand in a corner like in time-out, and knitted scarves in fun fur yarns. That was 2 years ago, so those things may be out of style.

I think right now headbands are in style so you might want to do a pile of those, if you can sell them cheaper than the stores. They seem to go for low price more than high quality.
