Recently, our local hospital has implemented a Dunkin Donuts within its main lobby... I have found that there is NO LINE there in the morning and have been going there to get my morning coffee (since the other Dunkin Donuts in town have a wait upwards of 20 minutes).

I normally park in the emergency parking area so I can run in and get my coffee, and up till this morning I have not had an issue. Today, my car was on the 'hooks' of a flat bed and they were moving it on when I came out. I tried to discuss this with the tow truck guy, even offering him a bribe but he REFUSED to take my car off the hooks.

I felt this guy was VERY rude to me and I'm thinking of pressing charges against the tow truck company...I was in that parking spot for less than 2 minutes and he had my car...it was almost like he was waiting for me...

do I have a case against him and my 100.00 impound fee?

This is what - the 5th time you have asked this exact same question?

Why do you keep asking the same question over and over?

You have no case as you were illegally parked in emergency parking. Just because you had done so in the past and nothing happened is not a good defense; they finally got tired of you doing it and did something about it and got a tow truck. As you state you do it every morning, it is not unusual that the tow truck was there...the hospital likely called and had it set up in advance, which they have every right to do.

The tow truck driver being rude to you and hurting your feeling for parking your car in a no parking zone is not anything you can sue for either...at best, you could file a complaint with the tow truck company, but as the guy was just doing his job nothing likely is going to happen their either.

Be thankful they didn't call the police and have a ticket issued for obstructing an emergency entrance in addition to having your vehicle towed.

In the future, either get a regular parking space and walk a mile like everyone else, or find someplace else to get your morning coffee.

You have no case. You were parked illegally and possibly obstructing traffic to an emergency room.

Are you dense? They had every right to tow you. It doesn't matter how long you were parked illegally, you were parked illegally. Emergency bays are absolutely a no park zone, and always a tow away zone.

Next time, do as I do, and park in front of the AMBULANCE entry doors. That way, you'll be able to pop in and out in a jiffy.

No. You have no choice but to take responsibility for your actions.
