LAS VEGAS, JAN 7 (ZENIT).- Yesterday, Celine Dion held a gala celebration in Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas, to renew her wedding vows with her husband-manager, Rene Angelil, who is suffering from skin cancer. Just days before, Dion, who skyrocketed to stardom by singing the theme to "The Titanic," announced that she would be putting her singing career on hold for two years in order to have more time with Angelil. Dion and Angelil married in a Catholic wedding in Montreal in 1994. The renewal of vows was done with a Greek Melkite Catholic priest, to emphasize Angelil's Lebanese and Syrian ancestry.
