yes, simply because if a white lady went on and did the whole skit in reverse, everyone would say she was racist.

why don't people focus on what the candidates are actually standing for instead of their skin/sex

It's more ignorant than racist. For example, he seems to think that everything has always been easily obtainable for women but almost impossible for black men yet many schools- including Harvard and West Point held out allowing women until well into the 20th century. There were also lots of minor things that people don't even think or hear about- for example, I heard somewhere that there were laws that didn't allow women to own car dealerships in the 1950's, (don't know how true it is or where it applies) but there are lots of things like that. He also seems to confuse "like" for respect. I don't doubt for a minute that lots of men "like" women in terms of wanting to sleep with them but that doesn't mean they will hire or promote them.

Most of the stuff he's talking about for black men is going back 50 to 150 years ago so they don't apply much to black men today anyway. Barack Obama's mother was a white woman from Kansas and his father is full African. He grew up well off in the tropical paradise like Hawaii, lived overseas in Indonesia at one point, and even attended Harvard. He's even supposed to be closely related to the president of the Confederacy, Jefferson Davis! I know he's got black skin but does he even have any slave ancestry? I like him just fine but what in the world does Barack Obama have to do with lynching, hard core discrimination, and slavery that Chris Rock went on and on about?

I was raised by parents who overcame childhood poverty and traveled the world to educate themselves on the ways other races and cultures. I have a hard time seeing the color of someones skin or the type of clothing they wear. I guess you could say I'm color-blind. When I hear Chris Rock, I feel shame. Not for me, but for him. I'm embarrassed for him. His closed minded comments perpetuate racial lines and under the guise of comedy, are insulting people of "color". I turn the channel as soon as I see his name flash across the satellite radio because I think he is setting equality back about 500 years with his embittered, hateful whining. He ranks right up there with Jessie Helms and Rush Limbaugh in the realm of bigotry. I like his comedy, but when he goes on his racial tangents he is nothing but a bigot.

I don't think they were racist. It is the truth. White women's suffering is nothing in comparison to that of black men. Anyone who disagrees is ether stupid or probably racist him/herself.

He is incorrect about white women not being lynched/burned alive. White women have been burned alive when accused of being a witch in the past. But there is still no comparison. I agree with him. What other people have suffered as much as Hebrews? None. People need to stop hating the truth and face it.

Savannah, he's not talking about doors being open. He's talking about suffering which would include that, but that is only ONE aspect of it.
