Why do you care what others think, many people try to get out of their civic duty for no reasons what so ever. Don't worry about it.

Because if everyone was like you, every jury would be a group of unemployed people who needed the money, or people that hated their regular job and saw jury duty as a vacation. They would not be motivated to make a decision.

What are you talking about? Are you afraid of going into the military or voting? You need to be more specific. If its voting, then yes, you are. People are always complaining they don't like the government, but voting is the only way to change it.
