you are starting them on the 5th day? that seems like an awful late start usually they have you start them earlier on.. anyway if you are having irregular periods then you are probably not ovulating properly and clomid can help you concieve. I have 10 month old twins from clomid, both them and I were fine, I did have side effects during the 5 days of taking the pills, and my ovaries felt pretty heavy and bit painful during ovulation, I also had trouble with my night vision, but it went away pretty quickly. Best of luck to you, you can google clomid and read lots of stories about it.

I am on my second round of clomid. I didn't have that bad of side effects mostly just moodiness. I am happy to find out that I actually ovulated this month. Anyways just hang in there clomid isn't too bad. So people do take it day 5-9. I am taking it day 3-7, it just depends on what your doctor wants. Clomid won't make conception happen, it just can help you release one egg. Some women release more than one when on it so it gives the little guys more targets. Best of luck!
