In the foreclosure papers there is a line here it says the house has to be surrendered to the creditor. check it out. usually it's 30 days from the foreclosure notification.

I am a foreclosure paralegal in TN and here a Notice of Eviction usually has to be filed but all states have their own laws. We don't foreclose through the courts here, we just do Trustee's sales. The easiest thing you can do is get everything out as soon as you are able to, because since it has already been foreclosed on, the house is legally the property of the bank or the third party who purchased it. More than likely the local Sherrif will be at your door before too long.

I don't know where you are, and each state varies, but here in Georgia, they have to send you a demand letter to get out and file a dispossessory, which you will be served with. If the bank bought it back, it usually takes a little more time. If a private individual bought it, it'll be faster and sometimes, they don't know your rights any better than you and might show up on your doorstep to throw you out. Call the Sheriff's office in your community.

You should have papers that tell you to get out. Read them. Get your stuff out quick. Or it will be on the curb.
