I got Sky+ as a new subscriber, and a reconditioned box free of charge. As long as you get the basic package, plus either the sports or the movies, then you dont pay any extra per month for your Sky+. Your box is also covered by the same warranty as a new box, so no probs there. I had a problem with my box after 3 months, and Sky came straight out with a new (reconditioned) box.
Just check out Sky website to see if offer still applies.

As Sky are now pushing Sky+ HD you can get the old Sky + (80gb) £49 with free installation. Also it is rumoured that they might be dropping the £10 per month charge for using Sky +.

No Sky+ system will be free at the moment as it involves a different technology to a normal Sky box. Anyone who offers you different, I'd be very wary of!

They do an offer at the moment which is £99 plus free installation.
You won't find it much cheaper than that anywhere cos it isn't a normal sky box, its also a recorder and they aren't gonna give it away.

Wait until Richard Branson brings out a rival company then get the best deal from either Sky or his company.
At the moment they have the monopoly on satellite TV and they keep increasing their prices, this is why I cancelled because most of what's on are repeats because most of what's on are repeats.
The £40+ a month we save we go out for a meal or have a trip to the seaside with the kids and don't really miss any of the rubbish on the TV.

Murdoch has always been a rip off merchant. Sky TV have the monopoly and they know it. Government would involved but i suspect SKY have paid them off in someway.
