My teacher said use slashes to show line breaks?

What does she mean? that would mean i need to put a slash at the end of every sentence

No. You use slashes to indicate the original line breaks if you are quoting a piece of poetry. Example:

"Roses are red/ Violets are blue/ Sugar is sweet/ And so are you".
