My mom would have cried and threw a fit but loved me and my child the same. I didn't make her a grandmother until I was 23.

i got married right out of high school. I was 17. I couldnt stand living with my mother a minute longer. Had 2 misscarriages before my first was born. All she said was its for the best your not ready for a kid. I didnt have my first child until I was 19. She would not allow my son to call her grandma, it was Nana. She said it was humiliting to be called grandma. I was married and in college, and supporting myself. And my mother still had a fit.
She then loved my son, in her own way, but when my daughter was born 9 3/4 years later she was mad, didnt want another grand child so she would not acknolede her for 5 yr. Now my daughter doesnt want anything to do with her.

My mother was a bit shocked when I got pregnant at 19. But, after confirming that my then partner and I wanted to marry one day, she was happy to have a grandchild on the way. (Subsequently, within a few weeks of telling my parents that I was pregnant, I lost the baby. If I had waited, I wouldn't have had to tell them, but then I also would not have had there support through a time that was the worst in my life to that point.)

I think "young age" can be interpreted different ways, but what I can say for sure is that my mother would have flipped out if I was still in high school or college when I got pregnant, or if I was not married yet for that matter. My parents are very traditional...

If you want to make sure you don't get pregnant don't have sex. Abstinence is the only method of birth control that works 100% of the time other then that there's a risk of pregnancy or getting an std. I know it's not a popular answer but that's the truth...

Well I got pregnant at the age of 16 and I went to my mom's work (so she couldn't beat me) and showed her the paper and all she said was "what are you going to do?" I said keep it and she said ok and she helped me I got my own place I worked and I took care of my baby by myself and now she is 13, and I hope and pray I'm raising her right.

What do you mean by young age? Do you mean as a minor?
I consider myself a young mom, I got pregnant at 20 but I was married and it was planned. :o) My parents were thrilled.

If you didn't finish your high school, than it is very early. well. maybe the best answer is:do you feel to young to be a mother(think about feeding, changing pantees, cramps and all of that in the middle of the night)?
