well do not know if you have ever heard of the slippary slope arguement of life. it is simple when you start saying that when any innocent groups life can be legally taken away and accepted by the population then another group can then another. it is what happened in Nazi Germany first they promoted abortion , the euthansia then can ethnic cleansing. which is just terrible. the argument that it drained the economy to have these undersirables. in Russia the special olympics asked if the USSR wanted to particpate in the games . they replied no because they had no handicapped citizens. why because they practed euthansia. when a society can not protect it weakest individauls then the strongest can kil off any one they want. here is a link about the Nazi program.

here is a poem that speaks volumes about speaking againtist evil before it to late.from Martin Niemöller
First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

Adof Hitler authorized euthanasia in Germany to eliminate the feeble minded. Unfortunately no German took exception to the poor mental health of Uncle Adolf in later years so he
could also be eliminated.

I condemn as immoral the killing of the weak, the physically challenged, the mentally ill, or the aged, whether by a deliberate act or by coercing or assisting a person to commit suicide. God is both the giver of life and the arbiter of life. Fully informed and freely chosen suicide is the final usurpation of the divine prerogative. Humans are not empowered to take their own lives or the lives of others. The sick and the weak must not be made to feel that they are a burden and have a moral obligation to relieve society of that burden. Their depression and illnesses often bring severe emotional and physical pain and raise serious questions about their ability to freely choose suicide. It should be remembered that many suicides occur in times of deep depression and great physical pain, when personal judgment and responsibility are seriously impaired. The Assemblies of God does not assume that all such persons are eternally lost.

I think the most important aspect of the article should be to break it down into passive and active euthanasia. Passive forms seem to be legal, while it is the most cruel...incredibly hypocritical...

I don't see why we are so worried about the 'youth in Asia' when our own young have problems...

Good luck with your research.
