Global warming is real. The debate is...... who's responsible....man or nature? I say it's both.

The problem is that so many scientific reports thru the years have predicted one thing after another without success. The big to do in the 1970s was scientific evidence that another ice age was coming. Then it was don't eat eggs, followed by eat eggs. Also there was drinking beer and eating a hot dog at the same time caused cancer.
In the 1880s, scientists deemed that human beings could never travel over 35 miles per hour because all the air would be sucked out of their lungs and they would suffocate. At the turn of the 20th century, doctors believe circumcision would end sexually transmitted diseases.
The fact is mankind has a limited understanding of the universe. Mankind also for some reason is infatuated with doomsday. Is global warming real? It could be. Will mankind be destroyed? Maybe.
But, the DNA is already cooking at volcanic steam vents under the sea for the next round of life on the planet.

If you are really looking for an answer and not just opinions I suggest doing research elsewhere and not ask this question on Yahoo Answers, when used properly the politics category is merely a debate forum and not a reliable scientific data journal.
IMO and from the information that I have gathered (and freakin common sense) there seems to be significant evidence and credible scientists that say "yes" we are contributing to global climate change and "yes" that there is also naturally occurring climate change.
From looking around and seeing what I see everyday cars spewing toxic chemicals in the air and massive waste and consumption everywhere, and over the last few years I have seen some extreme changes in the wild life in the city I live in like changing breeding and migratory behavior in birds, and with these things I have the ability to put two and two together and see that yes humans are making a huge impact on our environment.
When doing research make sure to trace the backgrounds of the scientists that are pro and those that are con (especially those that say "no" you are likely to find a oil trail). Good luck on you journey for the truth. And may you find in peace within yourself every time you recycle, walk instead of drive, eat organic and mostly vegetables, use twisty light bulbs, create compost and other cool and awesome things you can do for yourself and our beautiful planet.

That the climate is warming to a small degree is of course correct. What the issue is pertains to the cause of that warm-up. The solutions if any to it. If the change is cause for alarm, or if it will in fact be a good thing. The man made global warming crowd peddles fear, seeks government solutions that will restrict private property rights, redistribute wealth from the 1st to the 3rd world, tax productive working class people for living a modern lifestyle, promote certain products (Ethanol) that the public would never embrace unless at the point of a gun, instill guilt where none is called for, basically the socialist agenda for central government controll on a global level. Those who believe global warming to be a function of nature understand that these changes have occurred in the past, will again in the future, and have no power to change them

Don't suppose something you learn and most effective one million/two of what you spot. Of direction, Global warming is truly. The final Ice age has long past away, has it no longer? So, we need to have international warming. Do persons give a contribution to international warming? Probably a few small quantity, in the end we ARE Warm and we breath in oxygen and breath out CO2, we need to be side of the challenge. What is Al Gore going to do approximately it? Kill a complete lot of persons? Invariably that's what Socialists do once they take manipulate of a nation. Is that higher than destroying their economic system and inflicting thousands to starve to loss of life?

its real. a leaked memo from the white house stated the "tailoring" of facts to fit the administration's stance on global warming. that is where the confusion comes from. nothing like some good ol' fashioned disinformation. BTW, the one who doctored the scientific reports was an ex-oil lobbyist, who after recently resigning, is now working for exxon (i believe).

Its real. Our own city resevour is lower than its been since the 1950s. ( The system was completed in 1940 ).
We have a 2 year drought of record dimensions.
In Alaska, I saw with my own eyes the loss of half of the Mendanhal Glaciers from where it was 20 years ago.
Spring is already way too early this year. And we had record temperatures last year - even for Texas.

It probably is. But it is also most likely just part of the natural cycle as opposed to man made.
As George Will has said, "Were we really better off when Chicago was under a mile thick sheet of ice?"

the question should be what is the cause of global warming.
global warming or cooling is a natural cyclical event that has been happening for millions of years.
to think that man has had any effect on the climate is ridiculous.
