"When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.

"Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings."

I'm not ashamed of my body at all: in fact I'm pretty proud of it. That doesn't mean I want to walk around naked or topless though. There is a big difference between being ashamed and being modest.

Because most of the "bodies" in this society (America) Absolutely should NOT be seen without clothing. Even being seen in clothing is sometimes difficult to look at them. With all these "low rider" jeans now in fashion with all the ladies! Those are for the "IN SHAPE PEOPLE" not the over weight people. Know what's appropriate to wear for your body style. First impressions are everything!

I sure am not ashamed of my body.I have 3 beautiful children and I managed to keep my weight since when I was single. god lend us our body,so in return we must treat it as a temple. I always sunbath naked during summer in our pool. But there are some that's very old fashion, they're afraid that it will be a sin to show their body.

It could be related to those that make the rules are ashamed of their own bodies. And that might be due to the fact that most people don't get to make the rules until their bodies have started to deteriorate in looks.

Our society - as is the case with virtually every other society on the planet, with a few tiny exclusions - says clothing in public view is not an option.

If you don't like it - move.

We're not ashamed, we're embarrassed. And we've been taught from day one to cover certain parts of our bodies.

Face it, I'm a senior citizen. Do you want to be confronted with what seven pregnancies and years of aging have done to my body? Let's protect our eyes and keep stuff like that hidden, ok?

That's how our culture raises us.

Personally, I don't give a s*** who sees me naked. I'll get naked at the drop of a hat. And I'm ugly as sin. I'm so ugly, when I was born, the doctor slapped my mother.
