Does anyone know of a shop or a seamstress in New York City or the metro-area that sells and/or makes traditional Japanese kimonos?

By "metro" I mean the surrounding suburbs, or as far as Philedelphia to the south, Boston to the north or anywhere in Long Island.

Thanks

I'd try Ebay, first. And what kind are you talking about? There is the casual summer kimono called a Yukata usually made of cotton, or the dressier silk kimonos. Or the very, very, very expensive wedding kimonos. Those are longer, thicker, and hand embroidered.

I completely believe Japan Australia. Kimonos' can value £/$ a million,000's++++ no longer worth procuring a 'cheapo' degrading to one in all those perfect garment. 2d-hand Kimonos' regrettably sell way under the charges the ought to be. Who wears a Kimono these days different than the jap, *that's a so unhappy!* (<: *no longer the jap*
