Removing all of the pressure and temperatude aspects of the Earth and the fact that lava would be firing up through the hole, you would end up in the direct middle of the Earth. Of course you would be moving at terminal velocity and initially would shoot past the dead center and would bounce back and forth until you used up all of the energy you had. It would be a very painful process, were it even possible.

I believe that if you fell between the two poles you would be trapped in the middle where the gravity from all sides is equal. Some scientist believe that in the center of the Earth lies a void much like space. If you could survive and did not have the ability to thrust yourself back out of the middle I believe you would stay there.
Ronin, try reading a little bit more into my explanation before you give the wrong answer. Even if the center of the planet proved to not be a void space, the pressure alone would stop you from moving. Tell me you would be capable of climbing then ;)

Did you never see the movie of Jules Verne's "Journey To The Centre Of The Earth"? That's where what's left of you would end up (theoretically speaking) because that's where the earths poles meet. Of course you'd be burned to ash before you got close to the actual core where temps are several thousand degrees - take your tanning lotion and sunglasses and be careful, I believe that is where HELL is, and you know who is down there!

You would not be stuck, for goodness sake. If you can climb out of a hole here at the surface, with all of the earth underneath you, you can sure as hell climb out of a hole with some of the earth above you.

Ignoring the effects of the hot mantle and molten iron core, you'd keep falling until you reached the mid point. It is likely that your momentum would keep propelling you past the midpoint, until the deccelerating effect pulled you back towards the center. You'd likely have several swings like this, until you reached equilibrim, roughly at the center of the earth.

THe previous answer is correct. Eventually all of Earth's gravity would be above you, and you would be rather stuck, I'm afraid.

I like that kind of questions.
Both of them will stop in the middle of the earth I think.
Thanks.
