I see the main advantage of cloning being in research. It would make research more exact if you can experiment on the exact same thing more than once. That would rule out other variables.

for organs. my opinion is i seriously doubt how good a cloned body part will actually be, but if so then i'm all for it. as for human cloning thats completely wrong because they will wind up being a human guinea pig and no one should be.

It allows us access to resources such as organs and chemicals (e.g insulin) and can allow us to breed animals with demand characteristics.
