call the photo studio and ask them for help, different lighting in the studio, might wash out what you put on,or
show poorly, inquiring first, may be the way to go---smile

i learnt makeup in Taiwan.. if u wanna know more, i can show u some of my own pic on different eyeshadow..

you can put it anyway! on your eyelid, with some eyeliner and mascara, in the inner eye corner and a bit on the lower lid too look fresh
