80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.
So the bottom line is, we only have a temporary meaning to life, to reduce pain and increase pleasure, other than that everything is lost to oblivion.
To be or not to be? "To be" is temporary and "not to be" is inevitable.....

What if there is no meaning anymore - whatever it was at the begining of the human condition our existense has become to varied and widespread for there to be one answer for the meaning of it all, why are we here, why do we exist within this plain, was it punishment from a higher power, are we just a genetic mistake or miricale from millenea ago or is there just no purpose whatsoever for our inclination to know why we are here, alone in this expansive universe, are we subject to a higher calling, or a peer for an ultimate beings plaything. whatever the answer may or may not be I dont think we can ever answer this eons old question, not one individual human at least.

Life is about sacrifice. No pain no gain. Full of laughters and tears, ups and downs. And we always got to live up to the standards of ourselves and peers.
Sometimes, we in search meaning of life with setting goals and accomplishing them.
I guess we should question of our eternal life from now........Our life on earth is short. We all hope for the eternal home where there's not more tears, hardships to endure--Heaven is the beginning of life, the meaning of life.

Living for our own self is ordinary... just like any living being.
Living for our loved ones is normal.... just like any other human being.
Living for a cause beyond ourselves and also beyond our loved ones is extraordinary...... the sublime happiness it gives is well deserved by the few emancipated human beings who choose to live this way.
The true meaning of life lies in how it is lived.

We don't have a meaning, but we have a purpose. That is to continue what we are currently doing, existing.
The purpose to why we even exist assumes that there is a benefit in why we are here, a human emotion propelled by greed and egotism.

instead of asking the meaning of life you can ask whats the meaning of you; and when you feel sad you will feel that everything is meaningless but when you feel happy then, you will be glad to be alive and that is the meaning of life.
