When i give http://www.google.com or simply http://google.com both of them works fine.What is the difference between them?

If you type google.com, it will work too. http://www is just a standard way of writing out the url of a website, but you dont need to write out the whole thing. IE and other browsers are smart enough to direct you to the right place and fill in those prefixes for you. There is no difference between those two urls, they will lead you to the same place.
