My late father, an Engineer, had told me about his experience when he visited the US after the war (II) in 1946 - 49. There were also many Chinese and Israelis engineers in his group. When the training period was over, while the majority of Indians opted to stay in the US for better pastures, 100% of the Chinese and Israelis returned to their motherland. As soon as they reached their different destinations, while the Chinese and Israeli Engineers were directed by their representative governments to work and follow up on the basis of their training, the Government in India just frittered away ALL THE EXPERTISE gained by our engineers. My father was also one amongst them.

In China by 1949/ 50 the Communist Mao Tse Tung had captured power. He wanted all the trained Engineers to Build huge water resources, taming the extremely difficult Yang Tse river, which the engineers did - the Government fully backing them to the hilt. Whereas in India the Government (then and even now with greater vigor), with a BRITISH RAJ Bureaucracy ( a system that was built by the British to see that Indians were kept under control) curtailed every suggestion of our young and trained Engineers of that period; and those engineers also became corrupt over time. The plight of the different Scientific and Research Institutions are no better. All our institutions and departments are clogged by this scuttling bureaucracy, driving everyone connected with economic activity in this country to resort to corruption. Today we have the RESULT.

There is yet another incident that my father had narrated. While in Britain for training, during the same period mentioned above, my father had a room mate who later became the Chief of Indian Telegraph/ Telephones (in the 50's). It seems he used to explain to my father how the local COIN Telephones could be manipulated without dropping the mandatory coins!!! And he was later our Telephone/ Telegraph Chief!!!

I lived in China for 2 years and certainly enjoyed the food. that is in all risk what I omit maximum on the subject of the rustic! a number of raters are splendid while they say that the dishes have been adapted for Western tastes - they use fewer vegetables and greater meat, and no MSG (it incredibly is as easy in China as salt). yet another clarification for the version in tastes: the final public of chinese language eating places interior the U. S. are run by ability of persons from Fujian province or different provinces interior the south-east. food interior the south east of China has a tendency to be sweeter and milder than interior the north and west, and this works with American tastes nicely.
