You don't see many overweight players. I am an exception because I am a greedy boy. But if I wasn't so greedy, I would probably be very fit.
You move around the court so much in Tennis but the beauty is that you don't realize it till you call it a day.
Super cardio workout

It is acually very physically demanding. The good thing about it is that you can play it all your life, and it is a great way to keep in shape. I lose a lot of weight each tennis season! It is great!

tennis is one of my favorite sports to both watch live or on tv and to actually play. im not great at it but it is really fun. also since im not a big fan of workouts, for me tennis is one of my favorite ways to work up a sweat!
have fun with your lessons... you'll definitely get more benefits out of it than just re-learning tennis! =)

Tennis is one of the best exercises there is.
You run, lean over, use your arms, legs, twist your body into all kinds of contortions, generally move just about every bone, use just about every muscle and have fun while doing it.

Yes, but a lot of that depends on YOU. Make sure you are moving your feet, running hard and not giving up on shots that it "seems" you can't reach. Advice that I myself should take more often.....

yep - you have to get into it though. chase down those forehands and drop-shots.
if you just stand there, you might not get a lot out of it
