First let me first explain you what do they mean by 'suspicious'! Every sudden death is taken to be suspicious and its taken as so everywhere and with every such death ! now the result of autopsy were inconclusive......and they didn't give the complete report ! because the pathologist opinion is always considered when you don't find any visible sign.that sign can be a 'clote' in heart etc. so heart attack was excluded ...in every autopsy the body tissues are sent to pathologist normaly for his opinion ! Now this is second stage of autopsy medically ! then after getting the report from that, they would give the complete report ! But while taking the vomiting etc in consideration the most important possibility comes into mind is pioson definitley! but it is not necessary that this is homicidal only, it can be suicidal....even if taking it as a murder....so i would exclude the team from it !and Pakistani fan , so they would prefer the team more than coach but still a murder is such big thing and it need a big planing and that can be expected from professionals........a common cricket fan can not be that daring to go, plan and kill a person within 24 hours.becuase such emotional people are ususaly stupid....they do make mistake......I think its a job of some match fixers or bookies becuase these people have corrupted this game and these are the most dangerous people !and someone has mentioned Alqaeda..so telling you the reality that most of the peoples don't know or don't agree is that Alqaeda is an anti-Pakistani group(can't explain the reason as the answer would get much longer) ....they are agaisnt Pakistan and they are responsible for suicidal bombing in Pakistan, a country where these type of bombing have no meaning becuase they are not in war ...so saying that Alqaeda did that for being the Cricket lover or Pakistan fan is absurd.that is basically anti-american party !and has no relation with cricket !

I believe that there is a twist and that it was murder.
But I think it could be to do with match fixers, the ICC even stated at the start of the tournament it could be a problem, and I think someone could have had a lot of money on Pakistan to win, maybe not just that match, but the tournament, and they took it out of on the head coach. Or, God rest his soul, Woolmer had an arrangement that went horribly pear-shaped?
And I think poisoning is probably the number one reason for death at the moment.

I just answered a similar question and I agree with you. Right from the first announcement that he had been found unconscious I was thinking that someone connected to Pakistani cricket had maybe tried to poison him - the last paragraph of your theory backs up my thoughts.
The question I answered before included the idea that someone in betting circles may have had something to do with it.
Bob was on BBC Radio Five Live only a few hours before he was discovered unconscious and he seemed quite upbeat, talking about his future. He planned to retire from coaching as he was going to be 63 when the next World Cup came round, and he was thinking of going into some sort of consultancy work. From that, I think we can rule out suicide, which a few people have mentioned, and as you said, the signs in the hotel room seem to rule out a heart attack. He did have diabetes, but again, that wouldn't create the mess of bodily fluids (sorry) in his room.
I'm with you on this one.

Having worked with Woolmer in the past - I can't ever see him commiting suicide. He's just not that sort of bloke.
There is something very suspicious about his death. If natural causes have been ruled out (which is my understanding they have been) then it is a case of foul play.
If there is found to be any connection between his "murder" (if indeed it was that) and the Pakistan team - there needs to be sanctions against them and they need to be banned from playing International cricket.

Hmm it's all very strange isn't it? what with the West Indies police saying they are treating it as suspicious now. I know it sounds silly but maybe he just died from the stress of losing? Who knows. All I can say is I hope he died naturally because it would be a terrible thing for a coach to be murdered simply because the side he was coaching got dumped out of the world cup. It doesn't really say a lot for humanity if someone is prepared to kill over what is in all truth just a bit of fun for a few weeks. Even if they are being paid a lot of money for it. That's our choice.

Sounds like a fanatical Pakistani took revenge on his country losing to Ireland and being dumped out of the world cup, perhaps also took exception to a non Pakistani being the head coach. As to the how did he die we can only guess but it does seem some conflicting reports coming out. At first I thought that the sparse information was out of respect for his family but now I'm not so sure, it looks like somebody has got something to hide.Hopefully the local police will get to the bottom of it all and if a person or persons were responsible they will be bought to justice.

Yes, I suspect that he was. Apparently, there were traces of poison in his body, and a couple of hours ago I read a report that said that he may have been strangled.
Woolmer was going to write a book, in which he planned to disclose a lot of information wrt bookies and match-fixing.
He may have been murdered so as to prevent him from disclosing this information.
RIP Bob Woolmer

After the post mortem, there is suspicision that Bob Woolmer may have been murdered. Police is investigating the case and the clear picture will emerge only after the investigation is completed.
