yes we should ban cricket but before that first we have to stop breathing second we should stop following our religion.it is very difficult to ban cricket in India.here its not just a game it is our life.cricket is like religion in India.its in our blood.
you are talking about dhoni's house attacked etc but on the other side of coin we treat sachin as god.we treat our players as god when they perform and we have full right to question them when they are not performing .so banning cricket in India is only in dreams.

What da hell??????
Why???!!!!!
Cricket is actually one of the few sports in which the Indians can actually make it. We cant take that away from them!
It is like our duty to cheer for our country and just because its going on during school exams is a pretty lame excuse.
And besides, what has Bob Woolmer's death got to do with the Indians... he's the PAKISTANI coach!!

I'm not from India, so I have no real say in the argument - all I can offer is insight.
Cricket is very popular in India - as much so as Soccer is in some other countries whose GDP goes down during the FIFA Cup..
I think it's important for a country to have a sport 'that' popular to help unite the populace.
Of course there are going to be consequences. Productivity in America goes down during March Madness, Brazil experiences some lag during the World Cup and the Wizarding World comes to a standstill during the Quidditch World Cup.
Banning is a huge step - and with such popularity in the country - it would be next to impossible. Consider offering alternatives like introducing other sports.

Don't ban cricket game or the cricketers. It would be better if we can impose a partial (or full) ban of over enthusiastic public, who want the game to happen in a way that they prefer. They don't seem to realise that the 'race is not always for the swiftest or the strongest', This is actually the most interesting part of cricket, which the over enthusiastic public do not understand

I partially agree with you, first the people should learn how to enjoy the cricket as a game, instead of becoming fanatics. Let any team win the match you just enjoy, after all cricket is a game. You just see how the public in westren countries watch cricket, there is no fan fare, no fanaticsm, no craze, just they watch the game and enjoy and they are very leisurely in their attitude. We need to learn from them

All of us respect your views but actually thinking of banning cricket in India is not practical . It has become a part of our lives . Most of us love and enjoy watching it . Instead we should try to manage our life so that we dont waste our time much . Afterall there is life besides running after money and studies !!!!!!!!!!!

I do not find any reason for banning the cricket in India. Since win or defeat are part and parcel of every game, one or two defeats or bad performance of the team does not warrang banning of any game.

Cricket is a religion in India. I dont think any government will have to guts or will to do it. Even if they do it, it cannot be made applicable
