Hot flushes are normal, it's because of the increase in hormones.
"If this is your first pregnancy, then your pregnancy will quite likely be longer. Usually, the first-time mom averages 8 days beyond her 40-week due date, if she is white and a private-care patient. (Women of color tend to have slightly shorter pregnancies, as do women not under private-insurance care, for whatever reason.)"-- http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/figuring.htm

I think it just depends on the person and baby. I had my first at 36 weeks and 4 days. He was perfectly healthy and came in less than 5 hours start to finish. Very fast labor. Now I am pregnant with my second and will be 38 weeks tomorrow. I am so ready to have him but he doesn't want to come as soon as my first son. I just hope it is as fast and is over with. Good luck. As for the hot flashes. I got them off and on too. Just hormones I would think.

Hey Kylee....Im a mother of 2 boys....my 1st came 3weeks early and my 2nd came 8days late...I think the old saying that every pregnancy is different...is very true!! I had hot flushes throughout both from begining to end, I came to the realisation that my body was so way out of whack with hormone levels that is was to be expected...Good luck with the birth and yeah it hurts but its well worth it!!!

1st question: hot flushs seem normal..i been gettin them too and im 33weeks pregnant.. i was told its because your bodys pumping more blood around preparing for labour because u loose some...dont forget your bodys working for 2 now :-) BUT saying that if you notice any unusual swelling on ur ankles and/or wrists and u have high temp and/or high blood pressure/headaches seek medical advice maybe signs of pre eclampsia
2nd question: my first child was born a week early.. so no its not all true :) your baby will coem when he wants too lol

Your temperature is on the low side. The normal range of temperature starts at 36.3 degrees Fahrenheit. Your hormones are all over the map and it is normal to feel hot when pregnant.
My doctor told me that about half of first babies are born late (:

unfortunately you never can tell when ANY baby will be ready to be born. I was 3 weeks early with my first and two weeks late with my second. as for the temps, they sound fine. it is normal to feel hotter when in such a late stage of pregnancy. your body is working extra hard. good luck with your baby.

Not necessarily, some of my friends have had their first child before, after and even on their due date. My oldest however was 4 days late, but you also must remember that your due date is estimated.
