I am curious as I have always thought it looked hot, especially a sporty one like a baby-g. Few women I see wear it this way and I wonder why. If you do, is it for fashion or convienience or something else? Has anyone told you they like the way you wear it or even noticed? What if your boyfriend asked you to wear it inside or got a you a watch to wear this way? I am very curious.

It is strange how often this question has come up in the last two weeks! Wearing your watch on the inside of the wrist was originally a military thing. When you don't want to give off your location, especially people like snipers, the glare off the face of your watch can be like a beacon. The other thing is that if you're holding a gun, ready to shoot, you don't have to release the trigger to look at the time, but just slightly move your wrist up.

Now, it is just for fashion. I've heard that some people just don't want to draw attention to their watch (ie. like a mugger) and others just don't want people bothering them for the time.

I wear mine turned to the inside as well. It's so much easier for me to just turn my wrist to see the time than it is to have to stick my elbow up or move my whole forearm over just so I can see the face. Yes, the face does get scratched up somewhat but I still do it. I like the convenience and also the way the watch strap on the back of my wrist kinda looks like a bracelet.

I like to wear a cute watch but think of it as more of a tool than a fashion statement so I guess that's another reason why I'm more comfortable w/it turned toward the inside.

You can always suggest that your girlfriend try it, or better yet just turn it around on her wrist sometime & say something like, "that looks cool!" then leave it at that (make sure it's when she can hear you & is paying attention to what you're doing). That way the suggestion will work in her head and then she can decide on her own. Definitely don't push the issue. It's a pretty big turnoff when a guy tries to "reinvent" you.

I wear it like that because it turns around and stays that way. It is easier to sneak and look at your watch if you are in a boring meeting or something. So, I guess some people wear it to be inconspicuous to the fact that they are bored.

i've got seen my mom do it, and she or he's no longer likely inot style in any respect. I gues it relies upon on the way you progression your hands a marvelous type of the time. some people see the back fo their wrist a marvelous type of the time, and others see the interior of their wrist a marvelous type of the time.

I usually wear it on the outside... however, I work in a salon and the face is constantly covered in hairspray. I think I will turn it around... although the face is super fantastic. Hmmm... what to do!

Wearing it on the inside just makes it easier to read. Unfortunately it allows the crystal to get scratched more.

I used to because it was convenient, but I changed to the outside because I was smashing too many faces.

My mother always wore hers like that--I don't know why. She's the only one I've ever seen do that, though. I never did.
