Honesty is an emotion in where someone is telling another what they believe is the absolute truth. They could believe that a cat has three legs but the truth would be they have four. They might just not have known it. Thus it being an "honest mistake".
Truth has no mistakes.

Truth is just the truth, the truth about anything. It is a fact, Truth, and truth may not be what we know at all times. Its like a factual statement, and yet, we may not know it. Honesty is admitting the truth. Honesty is a communication of a true situation, positive or negative, but being honest that it is the truth. Truth can never change, but honesty can waver at any or at all times.

Truth and honesty are different. You can tell the truth to people but be a thief, cheat, etc. Whereas if you are and honest person, you would not steal from others or cheat and you would be more inclined to tell the truth - you might not necessarily tell the truth EVERYTIME but you would certainly lie less because you are generally an honest person.

Truth is a statement that accurately corresponds to the reality that the statement refers to. For example, the statement "the sky is blue" is a truth (if in fact the sky actually is blue).
Honesty is a human characteristic that manifests in a tendency to refrain from misleading others. Honesty is not an action (you cannot say "I honesty"). It is the personality trait that corresponds with the action of reporting, to the best of one's knowledge, what is true, rather than believing that one thing is true but deliberately leading others to believe something else.

Honesty is NOT BEING AFRAID TO TELL THE TRUTH, fully aware of the consequences. But I wonder, why, if the consequence is positive nobody appreciates telling truth as honesty.

You are being asked to tell the person what really happened, that is the truth. Honesty is when u admit a fault yourself without someone asking you.

HONESTY: is the human quality of communicating and acting truthful and with fairness, as best one is able. It is related to truth as a value. This includes listening, reasoning and any action in the human repertoire — as well as speaking.
TRUTH: is a deep kindness that teaches us to be content in our everyday life and share with the people the same happiness.(Kahlil Gibran)
Truth indeed rather alleviates than hurts, and will always bear up against falsehood, as oil does above water.(Miguel de Cervantes)
Truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it and ignorance may deride it, but, in the end, there it is. (Sir Winston Churchill)
I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right, temporarily defeated, is stronger than evil triumphant. (Martin Luther King)
What is truth?(Pontius Pilate)

Telling the truth and being honest are actually a bit different.
To tell the truth: the true or actual state of a matter
to be honest:honorable in principles, intentions, and actions; upright and fair: an honest person.
Therefore, When one is being truthful they are being actual, while when one is being honest, they are being upright and fair.
However, I believe they both fit very snug with integrety.

Maybe honesty is when the answer can't change. For example, 'What did you have for breakfast?' or 'Did you kiss him?' It's black and white.
Truth is where some one asks 'Is your favourite colour blue?' and you answer, truthfully, 'Yes.' but tomorrow that can change and your favourite colour will be yellow.
Truth is like the weather forecast. You hope it's going to that way but there are no guarantees.
Honesty is fixed.

Truth is what people can't handle, honesty is what they don't appreciate.
When was the last time you gave someone a frank opinion and they were actually genuinely grateful for it?
